Members of the Hoya genus (also known as waxflowers) are commonly epiphytic on trees in tropical regions in mid to southwestern Asia. They are often pollinated by moths due to their lack of color and strong sweet fragrance, and sometimes by ants or flies.
THIS IS MY PLANT. I can’t believe I stumbled across MY PLANT, my one and only plant that is probably as old as I am (maybe older).
It first flowered about 6+ years ago, and it totally shocked us (especially because the flowers are so unusual)!
It hasn’t bloomed in a few years, probably because it hasn’t had room to stretch out for quite some time. I really hope it blooms again soon :)
